Setting up a Local Server
  1. Running on a local server requires a licensing agreement, please contact trackwrestling @ trackwrestling.com/tickets for more information.
  2. Ensure you are connected to the internet!
  3. Download twsoftware to your c drive "c:\"
  4. Unzip twsoftware.zip to c:\twsoftware
    1. Right click on twsoftware.zip
    2. Choose "Extract All"
    3. Click [Next]
    4. Ensure the path to extract to is "c:\twsoftware"
    5. Click [Next] again
    6. Uncheck the box next to "Show extracted files"
    7. Click [Finish]
  5. You should now have a directory "c:\twsoftware" and in that directory you should find a file named TW_InstallServer.
  6. Have us email you keys.zip
  7. Save keys.zip to c:\twsoftware
  8. Install Java 1.8
    1. Go to c:\twsoftware
    2. Download JDK and install the ".exe" (just click through the standard install)
    3. You should now have a directory "C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.8.0_261\bin" and in that directory you should find java.exe
      • NOTE 1: Depending on the computer, "Program Files" may be "Program Files (x86)"
      • NOTE 2: If this is not the case, don't go any further until it is the case
  9. Update your Environment Variables
    1. Go to c:\twsoftware
    2. Right click TW_EnvironmentVariables.bat and choose to "Run as Administrator"
      • NOTE: If you are running an older version of windows you may not have this option. If that is the case, just double click the file to run it.
  10. Restart your computer so that your computer recognizes the new environment variables.
  11. Install Trackwrestling Software
    1. Go to c:\twsoftware
    2. Right click TW_InstallServer.bat and choose to "Run as Administrator"
      • NOTE: If you are running an older version of windows you may not have this option. If that is the case, just double click the file to run it.
    3. Follow the prompts/instructions from the controller as it installs what it needs to operate.
  12. Open trackwrestling on your local computer
    1. Go to c:\twsoftware
    2. Double click the TrackwrestlingLocal.html file to open the program and then click "Events" in the top menu.
    3. If everything is working properly, you should see a "State" drop down box in the Quick Search area, and it should have the states listed in it.
    4. NOTE: By default there are no tournaments on your server. You will have to download a tournament in order for something to be listed in your tournament list.
