- Tournament will be capped at 300 participants
- If we hit 300, registration will CLOSE SOONER
- ALL UNPAID/INCOMPLETE REGISTRATIONS WILL BE DELETED AT ANY TIME
ENTRY FEES:
- Pre-registration and On-Site: $40 per wrestler plus processing fees
- Registrations in Track that are NOT paid by the deadline above will be DELETED from the event
- There are NO REFUNDS under any circumstances
DIVISIONS:
Your division is determined by your grade from school year 2024-25 (the grade you just finished).
Separate Boys and Girls divisions (when possible).
- 6U - 14U BOYS/GIRLS - (2) 3-minute periods
- HIGH SCHOOL (all grades) - (2) 3-minute periods
- OPEN DIVISION/Out of HS - (2) 3-minute periods
TOURNAMENT RULES:
The Bikini Bottom Beach Wrestling Tournament will follow these rules:
Scoring:
1 Point:
Awarded for bringing any part of the opponent's body to the ground (excluding hands), pushing the opponent out of the ring, or for a caution received by the opponent.
3 Points:
Awarded for a takedown or throw that exposes the opponent's back to the ground.
Specific Rule Variations:
Standing Only: Matches are primarily fought in the standing position, with limited time allowed for wrestlers to be on the ground.
Knee on the Ground: The attacking wrestler can place one knee on the ground during an action, but if the action is unsuccessful, the opponent scores a point.
Tiebreaker: If the match ends in a tie, the wrestler with the last point scored wins, or if the score is 0-0, the wrestler with the lower weight wins.
Competition Area: Wrestling occurs within a 7-meter diameter ring on a sand surface.
Barefoot: Wrestlers must compete barefoot.
Prohibited Actions: Certain actions are prohibited, including choking, striking with an elbow or knee, butting with the head, pulling hair, or other unsafe techniques.
Key Considerations:
First to 3 Points Wins: The first wrestler to score 3 points is declared the winner, regardless of the remaining time.
Emphasis on Offensive Actions: The rules are designed to encourage offensive attacks and scoring opportunities.
No Stoppages or Overtime: Once a match begins, there are no stoppages or overtime periods.

*** Submission window: Friday, June 20, 2025, from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
*** Email will be sent out with further instructions the week BEFORE the tournament
WEIGH-IN CHECK-IN (SATURDAY June 21, 2025):
- K-14: 7:30 AM - 8:30 AM
- High School / OPEN: 10:30 AM - 11:30 AM
WRESTLING SCHEDULE (SATURDAY June 21, 2025):
- Gates OPEN at 7:00 AM
- Wrestling starts:
K-14: 9:00 AM
High School / OPEN: 12:00 PM
