BATTLE FOR THE SHIELD 2025

REGISTRATION
Limited to first 1600 wrestlers registered and paid on track wrestling pre-registration platform
(last year was sold out at 1600 wrestlers 3 weeks before the tournament)
Will be finished by 3pm, most will be done wrestling before 2pm
***All participants must have a current USAW competitor card***

WEIGH-INS
Remote Weigh-Ins at your own facility are mandatory (Illinois Teams Only)----NO MORE THAN 24 hours prior to tournament start
(Out of state wrestlers and in-state singles will weigh-in Sunday morning or Saturday evening at St. Charles East High School)
*Entries as a club will host satellite weigh-ins and skin checks*
**All wrestlers subject to random weight audits, IKWF by-laws will be followed**

DIVISIONS & MATCH TIMES
Each age group will have separate boys and girls divisions
Tots/Bantam/Intermediate | 1-1-1
Novice/Senior | 1:00-1:30-1:30

BRACKETS
All Brackets are Blocked 8-man Double Elimination
Round Robins or smaller brackets used when necessary
Separate Girls divisions

WRESTLING SCHEDULE

Tots (gym)/Novice (sports complex)

Session 2 --- 10:00am
Bantam (gym)

Session 3 --- 12:00 pm
Senior (sports complex)

Session 4 --- 12:30pm
Intermediate (gym)

The Gym and Sports Complex are connected by an indoor and outside walkway

Medals to 2nd-5th

ADMISSION
Doors open at 7:00 am on Sunday
$7 - Adults
$4 - Kids under 12 (2 & under FREE)

Coaches Free w/USA Card and on IKWF Roster ALL coaches must have an ACTIVE USAW Wrestling Leader Membership
