This manual will help you familiarize yourself with the setup and use of Trackwrestling equipment. It will also walk you through the setup to convert one of your own computers into a clock controller. Other content includes tournament networking setup, clock setting customization, and general troubleshooting.

Score Clock Overview

Our clocks come in a variety of options to choose from but the setup and general layout does not change. Each clock purchase comes with a power cable, tripod stand, crossover cable, 100ft ethernet cable, ethernet coupler, and USB ethernet adapter. We provide additional equipment that can be included with the score clocks, such as wireless routers and switches.

Clock Setup

Connecting to a clock

  1. Connect the clock power cord (Figure 1-7) into the power supply.
  2. Insert the crossover cable (Figure 1-6) into the ethernet "CONTROL" port.
  3. Connect the clock power cord to an available outlet.
  4. The "AUX" connections are used for duplicating displays.
  5. The "POWER" switch will turn your clock on or off.

Connecting to a controller

  1. Connect your computer to a power source.
  2. Insert the crossover cable (Figure 1-6) into the computer's ethernet port.
  3. If available, connect the USB mouse into the computer's USB port.

Duplicating Displays

  1. Connect the BNC cable to the AUX OUT on the master clock1.
  2. Connect the other enf end of the BNC cable to the slave clock2 through the AUX IN port.
  3. Ensure the toggle switch on the master clock is set to LOCAL.
  4. Flip the toggle switch from LOCAL to AUX on the slave clock.
  5. 1 The master clock is the clock you be be controlling from the computer. 2 The slave clock does not use an ethernet connection, only power and the BNC.

Master Reset

  1. If the IP address of the clock is set incorrectly, you will be able to reset it to the default '10.26.13.101'.
  2. Connect only to the power to turn the clock on.
  3. Push a paper clip into the reset hole and hold it in until the clock display recycles and shows the default IP address.
  4. Reconnect the ethernet cable from the clock to the computer.

  1. Launch the Controller.html file located on the desktop.
  2. Select the controller you wish to use.
  3. Select YES if you are connected to a score clock.
  4. The default IP is 10.26.13.101; click continue.
  5. This will bring up the controller interface which is now in sync with the clock display.

Configuring a New Computer

Downloading and Installing the Software

  1. If you are not already using Chrome as your default browser, you should download and install it.
  2. Once Chrome has been installed, go to www.trackwrestling.com/controller.zip to download the controller software.
  3. Save the .zip file onto your desktop or look for it in your downloads folder.
  4. Once the file has been downloaded, right click on it and extract all of the contents to the desktop in a folder titled "controller".
  5. Your desktop should have the following files:
    controller.zip
    controller (folder)
  6. Create a Shortcut - Open the controller folder and right click the "Controller" or "Controller.html". Select "Send to" and then select "Desktop".
  7. In the controller folder, open "InstallJava.html" and follow the directions.
  8. Once the Java has completed setup, please launch UpdateController.bat by double clicking it. When prompted for the server location, type "tw" and press enter. This will give you the most up-to-date version of the controller.
  9. At this point all required software has been downloaded and installed.

Setting up the Ethernet Connection (Windows 7)

  1. Ensure the crossover cable (Figure 1-6) is connect to both the clock and computer.
  2. Click the Windows logo in the bottom left of the screen and select "Control Panel".
  3. In the top right, ensure the "View by:" is set to "Small icons".
  4. Click on "Network and Sharing Center"
  5. On the left side panel, select "Change adapter settings".
  6. Look for your LAN connection; this is titled "Local Area Connection" by default.
  7. Right click on the connection and select "Properties".
  8. Select "Use the following IP address".
  9. Change the "IP address" fields to the following "10.26.13.105"
  10. Change the "Subnet mask" to the following "255.255.255.0"
  11. Leave the "Default Gateway and DNS fields blank and click "OK".
  12. Click "Close"
  13. Close the window by clicking the X in the upper right handle corner of the Control Panel window.
  14. Your ethernet port has now been configured to communicate with the clock.

Using the Standalone Controller

  1. Launch the Controller.html file located on the desktop to connect to the clock as instructed earlier in the manual.
  2. To modify the period length, simply type in the required time and click set; this will put the requested time on the clock. From here you can click the start and stop buttons to control the time.
  3. To add or subtract point for either wrestler, use the positive or negative value buttons located along the top and bottom of the corresponding wrestler's score.
  4. To sound the horn manually, press the "Sound Horn" button. Alternativley, you can disable the horn by by going to settings and selecting "Clock Horn" from the settings drop down and then click "De-Activate Horn."
  5. When using Blood Injury or Recovery time, just click "Start" under the time you would like to run. These fields can be reset the same as match time.
  6. College Folkstyle - Riding time can be added to the controller in "Settings" by selecting Style to be "College Folkstyle". By changing the position drop down boxes at the top of each wrestler or using the "Color" button, the riding time will count accordingly.
  7. Periods can be changed by clicking the square boxes in the center of the screen. Clicking it again will disable it.

Adjusting Display Mappings and Settings

  1. Launch the Controller.html file located on the desktop to connect to the clock as instructed earlier in the manual.
  2. On the left hand menu click "Settings."
  3. On the top of the window click "Display Map."
  4. From this window you can choose how to display data on your Score Clock.
  5. On the top of the window click "Brightness."
  6. From here you can enter any number between 0 and 255 for a brightness level for each color, with the higher the number meaning the brighter the color. Defaults are Y 64, R 32, G 32.
